For every 20-oz. pint of Moon River Brewing beer sold, we will donate $1 to the Boys and Girls Club of Savannah. Let's beat last year's record of 610 beers for charity!
Eat gourmet dish in honor of Julia Child's 100th birthday
On Wednesday, Aug. 15, celebrate Julia Child's 100th birthday by dining on her recipe for beef and onions braised in beer. This $10 dish is served with parsley potatoes. If this dish inspires you to perform your best Julia Child imitation, we just might buy you a beer.
Let us gather pre-fest, post-fest at the River
Kick off the Labor Day weekend and the Savannah Craft Beer Fest at Moon River Brewing at the 6 o'clock toast on Friday, Aug. 31. We will be joined by [secret guests to be announced] from [secret breweries to be announced] when we tap our first ever [secret beer to be announced]. Check our Facebook page throughout August as details are revealed.
Visit us on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 1-2, for an official unofficial festival party with beer and food specials for folks showing their festival admission tickets.
Brewmaster names new beer after TV series
This month, Moon River Brewing will be tapping a new beer, Black Lodge India Pale Ale, named after a location in the TV series Twin Peaks. Brewmaster John Pinkerton notes, "It is said, if you confront the Black Lodge with imperfect courage, it will utterly annihilate your soul. ... Are there any Bookhouse Boys out there up to the challenge?"
For those of you who have no clue what he's talking about, co-owner Gene Beeco notes, "It's an amazing and delicious beer. That's all you need to know."
